Company History
Janzen-Wahl LLC (formerly The Janzen Wahl Group and U.S. Clean Lab) was founded by Douglas Wahl (1954-2014) and Debra Janzen (1953-2015) in 1999. As an experienced engineer in the aerospace industry, Doug Wahl, realized the need for a high-quality precision cleaning firm to serve this market. Based in Tucson, Arizona, the company now fills that need as a national supplier of precision cleaning services to numerous industry segments.
Letter from the President and Owner of Janzen-Wahl LLC
I met the founder of Janzen-Wahl Group, Doug Wahl, at a business conference many years before his passing. Both he and I had booths displaying our work where we had the opportunity to meet potential customers. During the day, Doug stopped by my booth to introduce himself and ask if we had work requiring precision cleaning. As a machine shop specializing in the manufacturing of aerospace and defense parts, I did have a need for this service.
I later found out Doug had set up his precision cleaning lab at his residence. At the time, I had recently built an industrial park for small businesses to rent, and I told him I had the perfect place for his company. Two days later, he stopped by to see the place, and we signed a lease agreement. He and Debra Janzen then built the laboratory to set-up a professional business. The business grew and established a solid customer base. After his passing, I sensed a loss that seemed to remain thereafter.
In 2021, I was notified that the lab, then called U.S. Clean Lab, closed and that the equipment was going to be auctioned. Sensing yet another loss, I felt I could keep the operation running. I believed if the company had been successful before, I could bring it back. I was able to purchase the company, including its intellectual property, and I have taken over to steer a precision cleaning operation that will work to its full potential and that can meet our customers’ requirements. I was able to rehire previous employees and the lab has been thoroughly inspected and certified to industry standards. We have been AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified, and I am pleased to name the company after its founder and to provide the service he originated.
Along with the personnel I have, we are determined to make this business successful by giving our customers the quality and service they deserve.
