What is precision cleaning?
Critically designed and precisely machined components can be rendered unusable if contaminated by microscopic particles or minute amounts of hydrocarbons. Precision cleaning refers to our distinct method of cleaning parts or components to a microscopic level and removing all traces of hidden hydrocarbons. Parts are processed in our ISO 14644 certified cleanrooms and do not leave until the packaging procedure is completed, guaranteeing the required level of cleanliness to the very end of the process.
What cleaning methods do you use?
Our precision cleaning methodologies include ultrasonic solvent baths, manual scrubbing, and pressure flushing within our certified cleanroom. As projects can differ greatly from one another, cleaning strategies will need to differ as well. Allow our experts to design a personalized cleaning strategy specifically suited to your projects’ needs.
What type of products do you clean?
We are capable of precision cleaning almost any item that is required to meet precision clean levels. These items may include: mechanical hardware and components such as fittings, gaskets, hoses, and small diameter tubing of various material types including metals, plastics, and polymers.
What does it mean to be ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D certified?
A company that is ISO 9001:2015 certified has proven to an outside auditor that a comprehensive Quality Management System, dedicated to meeting the needs of its customers, is being properly employed.
AS9100D certification includes all aspects of ISO 9001:2015 certification but adds additional standards to a company’s Quality Management System, meeting aerospace industry needs and satisfying U.S. Department of Defense, N.A.S.A. and Federal Aviation Administration requirements.
What is the process for requesting a new job?
You may request a quote directly from our website or by emailing: frontdesk@janzen-wahl.com. Please include part number and description, part drawing (if possible), quantity, and any special requirements (bagging, bake, etc.). We will review your request to review your precision cleaning needs and do our best to get back to you within two business days.
Do you guarantee the quality of your work?
Yes. All work orders are reviewed after completion and prior to shipping. We guarantee we will meet or exceed the cleanliness and quality requirements set forth by our contract in a timely manner. We ensure communication throughout processing to keep you, the customer, involved and aware of where your work order stands. All completed work is shipped with an accompanying certificate of conformance signed by authorized personnel. All records are kept on file at Janzen-Wahl for a period of seven years or as specified on the purchase order.
How do I know my products have been cleaned to the required level?
After the precision cleaning process has been completed, the parts are verified clean by our expert technicians. Depending on the project, verification can involve various steps within our certified cleanroom, such as visually inspecting the parts, microscopically evaluating the parts for the presence of particles, and/or testing for the presence of non-volatile residue on the parts.
Do you provide a certification of cleanliness?
Yes. Cleaned components are verified to the specific level of cleanliness required and a certificate of that cleanliness is included with the return shipment of your parts.
Are you capable of new or varied methods of cleaning processes?
Absolutely! Our cleaning experts will work with you to design the perfect cleaning strategy for your products.
What type of packaging/shipping services do you offer?
After precision cleaning, parts are moved into our ISO class 5 certified cleanroom for packaging and labeling. Polyethylene bags, specifically manufactured for cleanroom use, are typically utilized. We carry certified clean ultra-low outgassing polyethylene bags and tubing, anti-static orange nylon, and static shielding bags in stock. If specialized bagging materials are required for your order, please contact us. Completed projects are securely packaged and shipped via an agreed upon method. Tracking numbers are provided, enabling you to follow the shipping progress.
What is the average turn-around time?
Turn-around time varies greatly depending on the type and size of the project. We can provide you with a realistic time-frame and completion date once we have completed planning your cleaning process.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of parts that you can clean for my company?
No. We can clean one part or thousands. The only limiting factor is time.
